How to find a good chiropractor?

March 30, 2010

If you’re like many people that have just moved to a new area, it may be hard finding a new dentist, chiropractor, family doctor, and other professionals. When looking for a good doctor among many provo chiropractors, I suggest the following tips:

Select a doctor that is not only friendly with you, but also your children

Talk to the office staff, are they helpful? You’ll need someone helpful if you run into insurance issues

What kinds of techniques does the chiropractor use?

Does he explain his answers to your questions easily?

Does he want to review the prior doctors notes or just start from scratch?

There is no right or wrong answer to these questions, but considering each one when selecting a doctor is important.

Children and Chiropractic Care

March 30, 2010

Did you know that you can bring children in to see a chiropractor? It’s true, many chiropractors are trained to adjust children and babies with any ailments relating to their skeletal system. Next time you’re in, ask the chiropractor to assess your child if you think he or she could benefit from an adjustment. For more information, check out the new article posted on provo chiropractic website about children and chiropractic care.

What exactly is Chiropractic Care?

February 23, 2010

You may have heard from friends or family that has visitied a chiropractor before, but what exactly is chiropractic care and how does it affect someone’s health?

Well the definition of chiropractic care is the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. In short, chiropractors treat the spine, nervous system, and everything that’s connected to it, which is pretty much every body part you can feel. Chiropractic is a natural treatment (also called alternative medicine). Doctors can treat a variety of problems including back pain, wrist pain (carpel tunnel), neck and other joint pain, IBS (irritable bowel syndrom), anixenty, stress, headaches, and much more.

Depending on the chiropractor, your visit with him or her may involve a few xrays and a health questionarrie. This will help the doctor to determine whether or not your problem is treatable and how long it may take. Some treatments only require one visit, while others may require many visits to completely correct.

Satisfaction rates for chiropractors are upto 83% (meaning that those patients that went to a chiropractor for some reason felt satisfied or very satisfied after their treatment). You can rest assured that your chiropractor has your best health in his or her interest and will all they can to ensure a quick and speedy recovery.
